Dharna to Offer Solidarity to Medha Patkar . . . .

A dharna was observed in front of the Secretariat under the leadership of Shasthra Sahithya Parishad, KSMTF and Plachimeda Unified Committee. The dharna was held to offer solidarity to Ms.Medha Patkar and her two associates who are observing a fasting satyagraha in New Delhi. The leader of the Narmada Bachoa Andolan, Ms.Medha Patkar is observing the satyagragha protesting against the move to raise the height of dam, in the name of the Sardar Sarovar Project. The organizations participating in the dharna have demanded that the Central Government should take urgent steps to settle the strike at the earliest.
